Eli's Farms CSA Terms
Signing Up: When you sign up for our CSA subscription, a secure, online member profile is created for you with your share options, your pick-up location, and your account activity. You can view and edit your account, change your pick up location, credit card info, or password and even place a vacation or suspension hold just by signing in to your account.
Payments: We bill your credit or debit card when your balance drops to $0. You must pay for service in advance. Your card will be charged after your final scheduled delivery unless we are given advanced notice to cancel. The charge is automatic and you will get a confirmation by email. We do not store any of your personal or financial information on our website. Our order site is run by Farmigo and your information is stored securely by Authorize.net. We also accept PayPal, EBT, or cash/check with advance notice.
Delivery: We deliver to most of San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County. Deliveries to Downtown/Southwest San Diego County and Riverside County are on Tuesdays, North County are on Wednesdays, and East County Thursdays. We cannot deliver to rural parts of the county without sufficient volume. Please contact us to confirm we service your area. Deliveries take place in the afternoons/evenings when most people will be home or coming home soon from work or school. This allows us time to pick and pack each morning and ensures your produce is not left outside for a long period of time if you are not home. It is not necessary to be home when we deliver. Please provide us with delivery instructions prior to delivery such as gate codes, difficult access instructions, or any other information we will need to make your delivery.
Fuel Charge: If you choose to have your order delivered, there is a $5 fuel charge for each delivery. This charge can be waived with multiple orders or sufficient volume. Pick up locations are available throughout the county if you wish to avoid the fuel charge.
Picking Up Your Order: If you choose to pick up your order instead of delivery, we will send an email reminder when your produce is ready to pick up. Please remember to pick up your order or have a friend or family member do so. Please be sure you take the box with your name on it. Sometimes people order additional produce. Not all additional produce will fit in the boxes. Please be sure to only take the produce you have ordered. Your additional items will be listed on your label as well. Many of our pick up locations are unsupervised. Our pick up location hosts are customers too. Please direct any questions or concerns back to Eli’s Farms and not to the business or residence. If there is any question about your order, please contact us.
Missing Your Pick Up: If you miss a pick up, please contact us. Most of our residential pick up locations are flexible and may even contact you themselves if you forgot your pick up. Others prefer not to be inconvenienced. Most businesses do not have the ability to store your produce. Pick up from a Farmers’ Market must be within the hours of the market from Eli’s Stand. We will make our best effort to remind you to pick up your produce. If we do not hear from you and you forget or are not able to pick up your box without advance notice, it will be donated to an interested party or facility. We’re sorry but we cannot give a credit for boxes that are not picked up.
Changing Your Pick Up or Delivery Location: If you want to change your pick up or delivery location, please do so by 11:00am Sunday for planning purposes. If you switch and then want to switch back, you will need to log into your account again to do so or contact us.
Vacation and Suspension Holds: You may put your delivery on hold by logging into your account. Please do this before 11:00am on Monday for the coming week. Your credit/debit card will not be charged while your delivery is on hold. For emergencies, please contact us.
Communications: Eli’s Farms communicates with you via email on a regular basis to inform you of a payment or to remind you of a scheduled pick up or delivery. Sometimes we will need to send out alerts and reminders about your order or inform you about happenings on our farm. Please make sure you are able to receive our emails and your contact information is up to date. If you need to communicate via phone or text because you have no email access, please advise us in advance. We will not be held responsible for missed communications due to inaccurate information you have entered. If you do not receive a confirmation email at the time of sign up, we do not have your correct information. Please sign into your account or contact us to update your contact information.
Cancellations: We require a 1 week notice of cancellations for planning purposes. If you do not cancel by the last delivery of your order, your card will be automatically charged. Please be sure you receive a confirmation email confirming your cancellation.
Holiday Changes: We will give you advanced notice about holiday date changes.
Produce Selection: Our website is updated each week with the current produce selection. Each week that you are scheduled to receive an order, you will receive an email reminder with the selection for the week. Please keep in mind that due to the nature of farming this list can change up to the day of delivery due to quality or availability. For line items with two items listed, it means that Eli determines what is available the day of picking. You will receive one OR the other item.
Ordering additional produce and changes to orders: Additional produce can be ordered through our Webstore. The Webstore opens after your previous delivery, and closes on Sundays at 11:00am. The cut off for any changes or additions for the week is Sundays at 11:00am. After that time the orders for the week and the delivery schedule is set, and we may no longer be able to accommodate your request.
Returning Cardboard Boxes: Please return your cardboard boxes. We re-use the boxes to cut down on waste and keep you from being stuck with tons of trash. They fold up flat so they don't take up too much space. If you will not be home please leave the box out front and we will take it. Cardboard boxes can be returned to pick up locations as well.
Our Guarantee: Eli’s Farms guarantees our produce for quality and freshness, and we pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service. If for any reason, you are not happy, please contact us. We will be more than happy to give you a refund or credit for any product or order that does not meet your standards.
